Supporting Our Communities

At Financial Resources Group, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. From the very beginning, our company has been driven not only by a commitment to delivering exceptional service, but also by a deep sense of responsibility to the communities in which we operate. Our dedication to community involvement is at the core of our corporate culture. Whether through charitable initiatives, volunteer programs, or partnerships with local organizations, we strive to make a positive and lasting impact on the communities that have supported us throughout our journey.

Communities In Schools

Financial Resources Group is proud to support Communities In Schools of Charlotte-Mecklenburg (CIS-Charlotte) as we help them work toward their mission of empowering students to stay in school and achieve in life. In Charlotte-Mecklenburg, approximately 30,000 – 41,000 children (14%) live in poverty. More than half of schools in the district (102 of 184) are designated Title I (high poverty) schools. CIS-Charlotte places professional staff inside Title I high-poverty schools to provide students with the resources and support they need to thrive and be successful in school and in life. Their primary goal is to ensure that all students have equitable school experiences, educational opportunities, and the chance to achieve their greatest potential, regardless of race, family income, or neighborhood in which they live.

Help us provide support for CIS!

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas

Our firm is thrilled to partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas (BBBSCC) as we help them achieve their mission of creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. An affiliate of Big Brother Big Sisters of America, BBBSCC makes meaningful monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”) ages 5 through young adulthood with the goal of developing positive relationships that have a lasting effect on their lives.

Rock the Street Wall Street

Rock the Street Wall Street (RTSWS) was founded 11 years ago with the mission to bring both gender and racial equity to the financial markets and spark the interest of high school girls into careers of finance. Associates at our firm are proud to partner with this financial and investment literacy program and are currently educating female students over five sessions at Fort Mill High School about the importance of finance. At end of the curriculum, students will travel to LPL Financial’s headquarters for a field trip and will be joined by CEO and founder of RTSWS Maura Cunningham.
