Members of Financial Resources Group attended LPL Financial’s annual flagship conference, Focus, July 24-27. The event was held at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.
Approximately 5,000 financial professionals from around the country were in attendance for this premier sales and education event to learn from industry experts and network with peers, sponsors, and the LPL home office staff.
“Without a doubt, this had to be one of the best LPL Focus events I have ever experienced! Certainly, just getting back together in person with all of our advisors, program managers and employees was fantastic but also, being able to spend time with them exploring the new and upcoming LPL tools and resources was motivating,” said Steve Lank, President. “It was the perfect opportunity to connect with LPL executives, key leaders and subject matter experts as well as have the time to interact with so many Financial Resources Group advisors and employees including all the new LPL employees who have joined in the last 24 months.”
This year’s keynote presenter was Malcolm Gladwell, six-time bestselling author, who inspired participants with insights about innovation, inspiration, and thought leadership.
Business leaders from Financial Resources Group and LPL held a “Meet and Greet Breakfast” which provided an opportunity for participants to network, uncover possibilities, and brainstorm best practices for best serving our advisor community. A special thank you to Jason DeMeo, VP of Independent Advisor Services Relationship Management with LPL who organized this event.
During the final evening of Focus, Financial Resources Group hosted a celebratory “thank you” dinner for 200 guests — including our community of advisors, executives, and business leaders — at Thirty Eight Social Hall in Denver. CEO Bruce Miller and Steve Lank congratulated guests for their successes and shared words of inspiration for moving forward amidst challenging times in the financial services industry. Bruce acknowledged the 12th year of Financial Resources Group hosting an event at Focus.
“This is one of my favorite nights of the year,” said Bruce. “I always enjoy getting to spend time with a group that has become like family over the years.”
Focus wrapped up it’s final night with a grand-finale concert featuring singer-songwriter Maren Moris.
Director of Business Consulting Mark Stieve shares his thoughts on why this year’s event will be one to remember. “Focus has always been a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with our advisors, learn from thought leaders in our industry, and recharge with fresh perspective and insights,” said Mark. “This year was especially meaningful because it was wonderful to be back in person, and Denver is such a progressive, beautiful city. LPL pulled out all the stops – with attention to every detail – and did a spectacular job hosting.”
